Based in Argentina, Esteban Battilana, known as Mercurio, is a trailblazer in the world of electronic music, combining his deep passion for the guitar with the driving force of Progressive House. Drawing influence from legendary guitarists like Joe Satriani, Steve Vai, Andy Summers, and David Gilmour, Mercurio’s live sets, featuring live guitar alongside intricate house rhythms, have become a unique signature in the electronic music scene—something no one else was doing at the time.
With a global reputation, Mercurio's tracks are supported by some of the biggest names in the industry, including Sasha, Nick Warren, and Hernán Cattáneo. His innovative approach to music production has led him to sign with prominent labels such as Cercle Music, Balance Music, Sudbeat, and DAR, with past releases on Global Underground, Yoshitoshi, and Flow Vinyl, among others.
Mercurio’s remix portfolio includes iconic tracks such as Björk's "Violently Happy" and U2’s "Ultraviolet." On the live performance front, he’s graced stages at top festivals like Creamfields, Southfest, and Eastfest, and collaborated on tours with artists like Maxi Trusso, supporting major acts like Jamiroquai, Franz Ferdinand, and Arctic Monkeys.
